Sadly, it has to come to this. Even after the re-release of the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight on Steam last Wednesday, users have continued with their disgusts regarding the game owing to fluctuating frame rates, excessive paging and stuttering causing instability. These issues have ultimately forced WBIE to initiate their full refund offer which got officially announced in their Steam page.

The refund offer includes a full refund of the season pass of downloadable content if both the game and the season pass are returned together. Everyone is eligible for the refund offer regardless of how long one has played the game. Additionally, if anyone wants to keep their game, for them Warner Bros stated that "we are going to continue to address the issues that we can fix and talk to you about the issues that we cannot fix".

Batman Arkham Knight

The Saga So Far

Batman Arkham Knight has went through some tremendous workarounds and bug fixes but it seems their hard work wasn't hard enough at the end. After their initial PC release in July received a plethora of negative comments regarding its non-playability and absolute instability, Warner Bros needed to suspend their PC sales till further notice.

After coming up with several promises of providing the necessary bug fixes and updates, a new patch was released for the PC users in September. The patch provided many fixes and added support but eventually didn't turn up to be enough. Following up on that, WBIE had announced a complete PC re-release of the game scheduled for October 28 but users kept on facing technical difficulties leading to more harsh complaints.

To entice the wary gamers, WBIE even ran a campaign to give away free Batman Games (Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, Arkham Origins and Arkham Origins Blackgate) to Steam users who bought the Arkham Knight game before mid-November.

In all the efforts to satisfy their fans, WBIE kept failing in their promise to offer a smooth PC game experience for its fans. Arkham Knight which could have been easily among the top 5 games for the fans has stood out to be one of the most terrible experienced games for PC fans lately.
