Hero System
Senior producer of Star Wars Battlefront Jamie Keen (in a post on EA's website) has elaborated on the new Hero System which will allow players to take control of Iconic characters from the Star Wars film saga such Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, etc. and use some of the special abilities that these characters have such as Luke's force push or augmented jump ability or saber rush.
He also explained that the use of these heroes or villains will be limited to an average of 2 minutes per player because their health will be constantly decreasing but this can extend by slaying enemies continuously. Theoretically, this can be done endlessly till the end of the match but won't be possible in actual gameplay. More heroes will be revealed in coming weeks.
